COMPETITORS FROM ALL OVER WORLD WILL USE IRWIN TOOLS
IRWIN Tools has announced it is one of the sponsors of the prestigious WorldSkills 2011 competition taking place in London, providing professional hand tools and power tool accessories for the competitors.
WorldSkills International is the world’s largest international skills-based competition. This year’s event will take place at ExCel London from 4th – 9th October 2011, and will feature more than 1000 competitors from 50 countries around the world.
Sectors covered include Construction and Building Technology, Automotive, Engineering and Manufacturing Process, ICT and Creative Arts & Fashion. As part of the sponsorship, IRWIN is providing a varied selection of tools to be used in the events, including vices, clamps, saws, drill bits and utliity knives and blades
More than 150,000 visitors are expected to attend over the course of the event, watching 45 skill competitions over 90,000 square metres of space. It will be London’s biggest event before 2012 and has rightly earned its recognition as the “Skills Olympics”.
